We're 1-9 against Memphis, and this is the best Memphis team we've played. I'm not upset about the result of this game. Our offense looked better, but we simply don't have an advantage on any match-up on the floor against that team.

In today's generation and with the instant portal transfer.....yeah it probably wouldn't. Tough love and tough coaching is getting harder to do.

Well if he's not able to coach these guys up then get into them and if they leave great. If he can't recruit better players then he's gonna be fired after year 3 anyways so it doesn't matter.

Time to get into them. This season is a lost cause. If they aren't hustling or running things right, pull them.. put in Joy and Germany. Heck put in McBride

I am not 100% sure this is the best Memphis team we have played. Especially defensively. Perhaps they will end up as that. We will see how the rest of the year goes.

We are still plagued with bad passes.. but better on the offense and not as selfish with the ball.

Mills can’t go out and do it for them. At the end of the day, if the players give up there’s not much he can do.

False! The essence of Coaching is causing your players to never give up. You think there weren’t times that Marshall’s teams of their own devices didn’t want to give up? That’s why he was right in the middle of their ass, making sure that wasn’t happening. Mills personality as evidence by his totally stoic sideline demeanor is more than concerning! In about one more embarrassing loss where we don’t even look coached, I’m going to back on the firetruck.

Not saying he can't. And I personally wish he would also at times. But I don't think that would have much effect, especially right now. This generation just responds differently. Some can take tough coaching, some cannot. Even the good players.

Definitely a lost cause this season though, regardless.

That's the scary part: if next year's team looks like this, where does ADKS go from there?

The $48,000 bi-weekly payments to Gregg Marshall end on November 27, 2026.

The $108,000 monthly payments to Isaac Brown end in April 2026.

Mills' contract ends on June 30, 2028. If the contract is terminated before the end of year 3 (March 2026), he's owed the full amount of his contract. If after year 3, he's owed 75% of the remainder.

This is all to say there's probably nothing that will be done even if we still suck next season, unless someone drops a pretty serious bag off at the WSU athletic department.

After year 3, Brown's payments are nearing completion, and we'll only have about 7 months left on Marshall's.

Agreed. But I understand not doing that as well. Let the apathetic take the beating. Let their tape have all the poor body language it can. Get it all out there for everyone to see.
